Check out our first preprint!

Our lab's first preprint is now online! A big thanks and congratulations to postdoc Anindita Mahapatra for leading this exciting new project.

In this paper, Dr. Mahapatra discovers an unappreciated feature of the Parkinson's-associated protein alpha-synuclein that drives it to misfold through specific pathways involving formation of liquid protein droplets. Not only will this discovery help us to control misfolding, but it also suggests a general property of proteins that governs this process.
