Nathan Strominger

About Me

Nathan is originally from Ithaca, NY. He went to Virginia Tech to study Nanomedicine and has also received a Masters in Tumor Biology from Georgetown University where he studied an HDAC6 inhibitor’s effect on tumor metastasis. Now here in Austin, he is pursuing his PhD in Cell & Molecular biology and has joined Professor Newberry’s lab to research the nature, causes, and disease implications of protein misfolding.

Outside of research, Nathan is very active in exploring Austin’s activities, nature, and food scenes. His other hobbies include going to the gym, playing sports, cooking, and talking over coffee.
